But who, what, when and where was the "real" Jesus? Especially in 2008!

Just as the Muslim scholar in your post is asking the same of Muhammad.

The Jesus that you would describe in 2008 is completely different to the Jesus that a Coptic Christian living 1500 years ago, or that of Saint Hildegard of Bingen or any of the Illuminated Saints of the Christian tradition.

And indeed everyone that lived outside of Europe and even in Europe prior to the Renaissance when there was a revolutionary shift in the mind and consciousness of Western Civilization altogether.

An all encompassing cultural revolution that shifted the focus fron contemplation of The Divine, to focus on mortal meat-body man and his/her possibilities.
